OnePlus 8T Cyberpunk 2077 edition launched in China
We normally don't do articles like this, but this China-only phone (for now) is quite different from OnePlus' previous special edition smartphones. If you aren't aware, Cyberpunk 2077 is an upcoming action role-playing game developed by CD Projekt. It's been delayed quite a few times already, but the game's current release date is 10th December 2020.
OnePlus has previously released McLaren (7T Pro), Avengers (OP6), and Star Wars (OP5T) edition phones, and they were styled conservatively. This Cyberpunk-themed phone, however, has a polarising design - both on the outside, and the inside (software customizations).
There are no hardware differences compared to the normal 8T, but OnePlus is bundling Cyberpunk-themed stickers case and a case as well. There are custom animations: fingerprint unlock mimics an "eye scanner" in the game, the charging animation looks like a script kiddie hacking sequence, and several icons have received a touch of neon styling. We'll try adding reference images later.

As a refresher, the OnePlus 8T has the following specs:
- CPU: Snapdragon 865
- RAM: up to 12GB
- Display: 1080x2400 FHD, 120Hz with 240Hz touch sampling rate
- Back cameras: 48MP Sony IMX689 + 16MP wide-angle + 5MP macro + 2MP portrait
- Battery: 4500 mAh, 65W fast charging
This is a China exclusive as of now, but you might be able to import it if you really want this in your hands (make sure you do thorough research first - bands will likely be quite different and it will come with HydrogenOS). Pricing is CNY 3999 (~$599). We'll update the article in case we get more information about international availability.
