OnePlus announced the OnePlus Ace!

OnePlus has announced a phone with an entire new name: the OnePlus Ace. This name may remind you of the Oppo Reno Ace line, and that seems to be the case here: a premium design along with powerful hardware for a reasonable price. What's important to know though, is that this phone will only be available in China. However, OnePlus allegedly plans to launch practically the same phone in India by next week, but under a different name: the OnePlus 10R.

On the back of the phone, we can see the OnePlus Ace has quite a unique pattern, which makes the phone look pretty sleek. In the image below we can see three cameras on the back: the primary sensor is a 50MP Sony IMX 766 (with OIS) while the secondary (ultra-wide) sensor is a 8MP one. The third camera is a 2MP shooter to create a 'bokeh' effect. On the front we can see that the Ace has a holepunch, just like many other phones nowadays. The front camera is a 16MP one. Furthermore, the Ace has a 6.7" FHD+ AMOLED display running at 120Hz. This display supports HDR10+ and has Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The SoC is a MediaTek Dimensity 8100 Max which is produced on 5nm. It also has either 8 or 12GB of RAM, along with 128, 256 or 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The Ace has a 4500mAh battery that supports up to 150W of fast charging (via the included Super Flash charger). The phone runs ColorOS 12.1, which is based on Android 12. Other (less noticeable) specs include a USB Type-C port, 5G, NFC, Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi 6, an in-display fingerprint scanner and dual speakers.

If you look at the OnePlus Ace, you can see some correlations with the Realme GT Neo 3. Not just by the looks of it, but mainly the specs that they have in common.

The OnePlus Ace is sold in China at CNY 2,499 (~$387) for the base model. The highest-end variant is CNY 3,499 (~$538). Sales will start at the 26th of April. The 10R (same phone, but different name) will debut on the 28th of April in India.
