  • A 6.72" 1080p 120Hz LCD
  • 8GB RAM with 128GB of storage

OnePlus Nord Buds 2

OnePlus has also announced the second generation of its mid-range and affordable OnePlus Nord Buds. The Nord Buds 2 come with active noise cancellation (ANC) this time around. The ANC on the Nord Buds 2 offers up to 25dB, but it also offers a transparency mode that allows you to hear your surroundings better than just wearing the earbuds. It does this by using the earbuds' microphone. They're also splashproof and have an IP55 rating. The earbuds have a battery capacity of 41mAh per earbud and OnePlus claims it can last for five hours with ANC enabled. Without ANC, the battery life should be seven hours. The Nord Buds 2 also support fast charging; 10 minutes of charging should give you five hours of music. The charging case has a battery capacity of 480mAh, which can increase the battery life to 27 hours with ANC enabled. Without ANC, it is 36 hours. OnePlus includes a USB-C cable. The new earphones will cost 69 euros.

Pricebaba has published the Indian prices of the Nord CE 3 Lite. According to the website, the 8/128GB variant will cost Rs. 27,999. Since this is a maximum retail price, the price could be as low as Rs. 25,000. Furthermore, leaker SnoopyTech has published high-resolution renders of the device.

In addition, OnePlus itself has also published renders of the CE 3 Lite. They mention that they will announce the new device on the 4th of April.

Two leakers have published the full spec sheet of the upcoming Nord CE 3 Lite. Sudhanshu Ambhore was the first to post the specsheet and shortly after, user SnoopyTech posted something similar. According to both leakers, the Nord CE 3 Lite will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695, as previously reported. This SoC supports 5G. In terms of storage and RAM, the phone will have 128GB of internal storage, which can be expanded with a micro-SD card. The amount of RAM is 8GB. The display is a 6.72-inch LCD with a resolution of 1080p and a refresh rate of 120Hz. It will also come with three cameras: a 108MP camera along with two 2MP cameras (one for depth and the other for macro purposes). The front camera is a 16MP one. The CE 3 Lite will come with a 5000mAh battery that can be charged at 67W. Last but not least, the device will have the usual: Bluetooth 5.1, Wi-Fi 6, Dual-Sim. The device is rumoured to cost around €329.

The table at the end of this article has been updated accordingly. One more note: we're aware that the comparison in the table is with the wrong device. This table was made when OnLeaks published the specs of the Nord CE 3, which later turned out to be the Nord CE 3 Lite. For a direct comparison, please check the specs of the Nord CE 2 Lite instead.

Max Jambor has now also leaked the colour variants of the Nord CE 3 Lite: black and lime. Do however mind that the image below is for reference only: it's the OnePlus Ace 2V, also known as the OnePlus Nord 3. The spec table at the bottom of this article has been updated accordingly.

OnLeaks has tweeted that OnePlus' plans have changed and that the Nord CE 3 will now be unveiled as the Nord CE 3 Lite. The article has been edited accordingly. We changed the name of CE 3 to CE 3 Lite. The comparison and specs of the Nord CE 2 Lite have remained the same.

RM Update and MySmartPrice both have published exclusive photos of the OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite, codenamed Larry. The back and frames are made of plastic and on the pictures we can see a power button (with built-in fingerprint scanner), 3.5mm jack and USB-C. We have updated the table at the bottom of this article accordingly.

OnLeaks has published renders of the Nord CE 3 Lite in collaboration with 91Mobiles.

On the images we can see that the back looks very minimalistic, similar to that of the OnePlus X from 2015 (because of the black shade). It has flat edges instead of curved ones and we can see the power button at the right-hand side of the phone. The power button has a built-in fingerprint scanner. On the left-hand side we can see the volume buttons and SIM-card tray, but unfortunately there's no alert-slider. At the bottom of the phone there's a microphone, USB-C port and 3.5mm jack. There's also a single speaker grill to be seen, left from the USB-C port. There's a holepunch in the middle of the display and on the back we can see two cameras with a flashlight.

It has been almost a year ago since OnePlus announced the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite, a budget phone in the Nord-lineup. Today, on the 9th of November, Gadgetgang in collaboration with OnLeaks have revealed the specs of its successor: the OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite. According to the leak, the CE 3 Lite should come with a Snapdragon 695, 8 to 12 GB of RAM and 128 to 256GB of storage. Previously (in the CE 2), OnePlus used a MediaTek Dimensity 900. The display is a 6.7" full HD+ LCD one running at 120Hz. Unfortunately, it's a downgrade in some sense, going from an OLED to LCD. The display is much bigger than on the CE 2: 6.43" on the CE 2 and 6.7" on the CE 3 Lite.

It has three cameras on the back: a 108MP primary sensor and two 2MP sensors, where one is a macro camera and the other one is a depth camera. In our opinion, which is also what we've seen from reviews in the past, those 2MP cameras are quite useless, especially the depth camera. Most camera software can calculate depth well enough, so a dedicated camera is often unnecessary. The CE 2 has a 64MP primary sensor and 8MP ultra-wide. An 8MP ultra-wide would've probably been a better choice on the CE 3 Lite. The front camera is a 16MP one.

The battery is a large 5000mAh one and can be charged with a whopping 67W, which is 500mAh more than the CE 2 and charging is 2W higher. In practice, these two watts are likely not going to make any difference. It has a fingerprint scanner on the side, likely on the power button, as we saw with the Nord CE 2 Lite. The phone will probably launch in Q1 or Q2 of 2023.

We've reproduced the spec table below, comparing the Nord CE 2 with the CE 3 Lite.
