You can now apply to the OnePlus 8-series & 8T Closed Beta program

Great news today. After changing its beta update schedule in June 2020, OnePlus is now opening recruitment for its Closed Beta program for the OnePlus 8-series & 8T devices. The 9R also got a CBT program on 6th November 2021. The CBT program will be short-termed, focused on improving upcoming OOS 12 update, and the builds should be considered as "alpha" — meaning they could prove to be unstable, unpolished, etc.

Up to 200 people (separately for 8-series & 8T) will be accepted into it, but they will have to meet a few requirements: being comfortable with taking backups and restoring them (as builds might sometimes require a clean flash therefore lead to data loss), being willing to constantly communicate and provide feedback on Telegram, being an active OnePlus Community member but also obviously owning one of the eligible devices: OnePlus 8 / OnePlus 8 Pro / OnePlus 8T. Besides the requirements being mentioned in the forum post, OnePlus may also filter your experiences as indirect requirement in the survey (e.g. how much time you spend on the forums or your current occupation). Those who give excellent feedback, will be eligible to get some gifts as well.

Joining this crew will require you to sign a Non Disclosure Agreement (NDA) with OnePlus, meaning you will NOT be allowed to share builds and any content related to it with anyone.

Note: These closed beta builds can be unstable, therefore we do NOT recommend to apply if you do not have prior experience in beta testing, as well as not knowing how to rollback to stable software by yourself, or when you don't know how to submit logs.
