On 5 December, OnePlus announced the OnePlus 12 in China. The device boasts a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and at least 12GB of LPDDR5X memory, with variants offering up to 24GB RAM. It also features UFS 4.0 storage ranging from 256GB to 1TB. The OnePlus 12 has a 6.82-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 3168x1440 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19.8:9. In high brightness mode, the display can reach up to 4500 nits, with a base of 1600 nits. It also has a variable refresh rate ranging from 1 to 120Hz.

The battery has a capacity of 5400mAh and can be charged at 100W, while wireless charging is available at 50W.  The primary camera is a 50MP Sony Lytia sensor, which is designed to capture more light in low-light scenarios than other sensors. The phone features a 1/1.4" sensor, measuring 62 square millimetres. Additionally, it has a 64MP camera that supports up to 3x zoom, which uses the same sensor as the OnePlus Open. The third camera is an ultra-wide 48MP lens.

The phone's dimensions are 16.4 x 7.6 centimetres, with a thickness of 9.2 millimetres and a weight of 220 grams.

The OnePlus 12 will be announced on the 23rd for the global market. Additionally, OnePlus has announced the release of a black variant of the OnePlus Open. The Chinese price for the OnePlus 12 is around 560 euros, but the phone is likely to be much more expensive, considering that the OnePlus 11 costs around 819 euros in the Netherlands, for example.

Digital Chat Station, a credible Chinese leaker, has released details regarding the specifications of the forthcoming OnePlus 12. According to the source, the OnePlus 12 will boast a 2K high-frequency curved display paired with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, along with either 16 or 24GB of memory. The battery has a capacity of 5400mAh and can be wirelessly charged at 100W or 50W. The frame is constructed from metal and features an in-display fingerprint scanner. The device utilizes a "super-sized X-axis motor" for vibration. In addition, the post notes that there is a "super-large VC heat dissipation area".

The spec table has been updated accordingly.

Last week, we wrote about the renders of the OnePlus 12 that were published by OnLeaks in collaboration with Smartprix. Now they have published the full spec sheet of the OnePlus 12.

According to OnLeaks, the specifications include a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 (which has yet to be announced by Qualcomm itself), up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage. UFS 4.0 is a new major iteration of flash storage.

As for the screen, the OnePlus 12 is said to have a large 6.7-inch 2K AMOLED LTPO display running at 120Hz. The battery is a 5400mAh one that can be charged at 100W, while it can be wirelessly charged at 50W.

Once again, OnePlus and Hasselblad have teamed up to develop the camera system. Speaking of cameras, the OnePlus 12 will come with a 50MP camera, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 64MP telephoto camera with up to 3x optical zoom.

The device runs OxygenOS 14 (based on Android 14) and has a fingerprint scanner under the display. As expected, there is also an alert-slider.

The spec-table, which you can find at the bottom of this article, has been updated accordingly.

Steve Hemmerstoffer (OnLeaks) collaborated with Smartprix to reveal high-quality renders of the upcoming OnePlus 12, which apparently have been made from a real-life testing/prototype unit.

As you can see, leaked renders show off the black colourway with a sandstone finish, and confirm earlier leaks of a periscope lens at the back. The overall design — especially the camera arrangement — seems to be based on the Oppo Reno 10 Pro+. Our original article has been preserved below.

A user on Weibo has leaked some specifications of the OnePlus 12. In short, it should have a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and a Samsung 2K curved screen (with a holepunch camera). As for the cameras, there should be a 50MP Sony IMX9 series, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle and a 64MP periscope telephoto. There's a 5000mAh battery that can be charged at a whopping 150W. The new OnePlus flagship should be released in December, the user claims.

Recently, Yogesh Brar (a popular leakster) purported specifications of the OnePlus 12. According to the leak, the OnePlus 12 will feature a 6.7-inch QHD OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The device could be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 (SM8650) chipset, which is expected to improve performance and efficiency. The OnePlus 12's camera setup is said to consist of a 50MP primary sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle sensor and an impressive 64MP periscope lens, which could offer versatile photography options and high-quality image capture. For prolonged use, the device is said to have a 5,000mAh battery. There's also fast charging capabilities of up to 100W.

The leak suggests a December launch, initially on the Chinese market.

The OnePlus 11 has only been on the market for around 3 months, but rumours of its successor, the OnePlus 12, are already starting to circulate. Digital Chat Station, a Chinese leaker active on Weibo, has posted that both OnePlus and Realme have periscope agreements and that they're currently testing it on the SM8650 product line. The SM8650 is probably the platform model number for the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. And considering that Qualcomm always announces its new SoCs before a new OnePlus flagship is released, it seems that the OnePlus 12 could also be powered by this SoC.

Reliable tipster Max Jambor also confirms that OnePlus has been testing periscope lenses for some time now. Some OnePlus 10 Pro models were even equipped with a periscope lens, but they never made it to the market, according to Max Jambor. Periscope lenses greatly improve the quality of detail when zooming in.

We've put the specs in a table and will update it as more information about the OnePlus 12 becomes available.
