OnePlus Nord N10 & N100 are now marked as EOL (End of Life)

They won't receive any further updates. OnePlus has announced that 11.0.15/16 (Nov 2023 security patch) is the last build for these devices.

OnePlus' Head of the OxygenOS Operation Team — Winkey W. — has announced that they've fulfilled the software update lifecycle promise for the Nord N10 & N100. They both launched with OxygenOS 10, and OxygenOS 11.0.15/16 are the last updates for these devices. There will be no further official updates after this. These devices — like many from that time — was supposed to receive 2 years of major updates and 1 additional year of security patches. However, soon after launch, OnePlus announced that the N10 & N100 would receive only 1 major Android update.

Still, it was expected that these devices would not receive updates beyond end 2023 or early 2024, and that's where we're at right now. Here's the changelog for 11.0.15/16:

System

  • Integrates the November 2023 Android security patch to enhance system security.

It's disappointing that despite OnePlus kept N10 & N100 users in limbo so long, given that this build had rolled out at the end of November 2023, and the EOL announcement was on 12th April 2024 — 5 months delay.

It's worth noting that devices released from 2023 onwards have a new, better commitment: 4 years of major Android updates and 1 more year of security patches (total 5 years).

A device being marked EOL (End of Life) by its manufacturer doesn't prevent you from using it anymore, as you could always go down the custom ROM route. Have a look at the corresponding XDA Forums posts for your device: N10, N100. Note that installing a custom ROM requires unlocking your bootloader, which in turn wipes device data. Regardless, we highly recommend you do so, so that you can continue using your device if the hardware is still functioning properly. Moreover, newer security patches will be made available to you via these custom ROMs.
