Pete Lau, the CEO and founder of OnePlus, has posted a thread on the OnePlus forums showing renders of the OnePlus Buds Pro 2 and revealing some information about it. The Buds Pro 2 will be released in Arbor Green and not Olive Green as we wrote earlier based on some leaks.

Lau also said that the Buds Pro 2 will feature spatial audio, which should result in a wide sound field and "multi-dimensional" sound. Spatial audio is a technique that creates the illusion that you're using a surround sound system. OnePlus has developed a stereo upmixing algorithm to achieve this. The Buds Pro 2 will also feature a six-axis IMU sensor that tracks head movements in real time. This is used to recalibrate the audio every time the user moves their head.

OnePlus has developed the Buds Pro 2 with Dynaudio, a Danish audio company. The earphones have an 11mm driver that focuses on the deeper sounds like bass. There's also a 6mm driver for a wider range of sounds, such as vocals. For better balance and sound, OnePlus uses crystal polymer diaphragms with separate edges and domes.

Furthermore, as we already knew from leaks, the Buds Pro 2 come with ANC that cancels out up to 48dB. There will also be a feature called 'Personalised Noise Cancellation', which will adjust the most appropriate effect of noise cancellation based on an analysis of not only the amount of leakage, but also the ear canal.

Last but not least, OnePlus' top-of-the-line earphones will also offer 39 hours of music playback. The case allows you to charge the earphones multiple times. It has a dual-connect feature that allows you to connect two devices to the Bluetooth earbuds at the same time. It uses Bluetooth version 5.3 LE, which is the latest Bluetooth version. Bluetooth 5.3 LE comes with its own new features.

Leaker Kuba Wojciechowski and 91Mobiles have posted renders of the OnePlus Buds Pro 2, showing its case and the earbuds itself in the Olive Green option.

As we can see on the images of the case, the name 'Dynaudio' appears. It seems that the OnePlus Buds Pro 2 have been co-created with the Danish audio company. The Buds Pro 2 look very similar to its predecessor. The only difference we can spot is that at the back of the earbuds, we can see that the hole, which is called the 'air pressure adjustment vent' is larger than on the first generation Buds Pro. It may have to do something with Active Noise Cancellation (ANC). We can see a button on the case to pair it with your device, as well as an LED indicator for charging. The case looks slightly different from the first generation Buds Pro.

According to 91Mobiles, it also comes with LHDC 4.0 as supporting codec. It will also support spatial audio and the earbuds have three microphones on both earbuds. Because this is new information, we've updated the specs table at the end of this article.

Leaker Sudhanshu has posted a tweet that contains the model numbers of the OnePlus Buds Pro 2. They're A507A & E507B. According to the screenshot, the case can be charged with 10W and has a USB-C port, while the earbuds in the case can be charged with 2.5W.

It has almost been 1.5 years ago since OnePlus announced their first generation OnePlus Buds Pro. Now, OnLeaks, who also recently published leaks about the OnePlus 11 Pro11R and Nord Watch, now leaked specifications of the Buds Pro 2.

OnLeaks claims that the new Buds Pro 2 will have 11 and 6mm dual audio drivers. There's support for LDHC 4.0 (Low Latency High-Definition) spatial audio, which is a codec for high quality audio. The leaker also claims that it will offer up to 45dB of active noise cancellation, as well as adaptive noise cancellation, which means it'll be adapting and adjusting the noise cancellation based on sounds around you. There are three built-in microphones for each earbud. The battery life is as follows: with ANC (active noise cancellation), you should be able to use the Buds Pro 2 for 6 hours. With the case, this is 22 hours. Without ANC, this is 9 hours and with case 38 hours.

The Buds Pro 2 will support wireless charging and Warp Charging according to OnLeaks. Charging the case for just 10 minutes will allow you to use it for 10 hours. If you charge the buds for just 10 minutes, they can last up to 3 hours. There's a Google Fast Pair function, Bluetooth 5.2, 69ms low latency and an IP55-rating. The Buds Pro 2 should come in a new green variant, apart from white and black.

The table below lists differences between the original Buds Pro and its successor. They both have the same IP rating (buds: IP55, case: IPX4), and charging specs (Warp Charge: 10m gets you 10h total playback time).
