The full specifications, price, and more renders of the OnePlus Ace 3 have been leaked on China Telecom's website, just one month before the OnePlus 12R launch. It is worth noting that the OnePlus Ace 3 is essentially the same phone as the 12R, but with a different name for the Chinese market. The device will feature a 6.8-inch AMOLED screen with a 1.5K resolution of 2480 x 1264 pixels. Although the refresh rate is not mentioned in the listing, it is expected to be 120Hz. The phone will feature a metal frame.

The listing confirms that the OnePlus Ace 3 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and paired with either 12GB or 16GB of RAM. Recently, the device was also spotted on Geekbench with the same specifications. The device will launch with ColourOS 14, based on Android 14, out of the box. Additionally, the OnePlus Ace 3 will have a 5500mAh battery. The OnePlus Ace 3 is expected to come with 100W of wired fast charging but will not support wireless charging. The pricing for the device will start at CNY 3299 (approx Rs 39,500) for the 12GB+256GB variant, CNY 3699 (approx Rs 44,200) for the 16GB+512GB variant, and CNY 3999 (approx Rs 48,000) for the 16GB+1TB model. The device is expected to be available for purchase in China on January 31, 2024, and will be launched globally as the OnePlus 12R on January 23rd. OnePlus also announced this on their launch page.

Ishan Agarwal tweeted that the phone will be available in black and blue.

We updated the spec-table at the end of our article.

Since the OnePlus 9 series, OnePlus has been releasing R versions of its high-end smartphones for the Indian market - such as the 9R, 9RT, 10R and 11R. This time around, the OnePlus 12R is set to launch alongside the upcoming OnePlus 12. Although the launch is still quite some time away, MySmartPrice has already got the spec sheet and renders of the OnePlus 12R, thanks to leaker OnLeaks.

Design

The OnePlus 12R should have a slightly curved display, which seems to be similar to that of the 11R. There's a hole-punch in the middle of the screen for the front camera, and it has a slim chin and bezels on the sides. The renders also show three cameras on the back and a flash. There are also volume keys, an alert-slider and a power button. The fingerprint scanner is located under the display. On the bottom of the phone we see a USB-C port, a microphone and a speaker.

Specs

In terms of specs, the 12R is expected to get a pretty significant upgrade: the SoC is said to be a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, along with up to 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The cameras are also getting an upgrade, with a 32MP telephoto camera (which has support for two times optical zoom) added to the back of the phone. A 50MP primary camera and 8MP ultra-wide camera remain the same. The front camera is a 16MP one.

The display is rumoured to be a 6.7-inch curved 1.5K AMOLED with a 120Hz refresh rate. The battery is a 5500mAh one that can be charged at 100W. The device will run OxygenOS 14, which is based on Android 14. The OnePlus 12R could be released in China in January 2024.
